No one in our community should struggle to find food. On Saturday, November 15th, we are coming together to support Umpqua Basin Food Not Bombs, a volunteer-run group that shares free meals and essential supplies with anyone who needs them.
Right now, the need is especially urgent.
Due to the recent federal government shutdown and temporary cuts to SNAP (food assistance) benefits, many families and individuals who usually rely on those funds are suddenly without grocery support. This means more of our neighbors are experiencing hunger — including people who are housed and working.
This is not a protest — it is a mutual aid community care effort.
No speeches. No signs. No politics.
Just neighbors helping neighbors.

🍲 Quick Heat-and-Eat Foods
- Cup Noodles / Cup Ramen (self-contained cups)
- Canned soups (pull-tab preferred, but all types are welcome)
🥪 Sandwich Supplies
- Bread
- Deli meats
- Cheese
- Tuna packets or pull-tab cans
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Mayo and mustard
- Medium–large Ziploc bags (for take-away sandwiches)
🌯 Burrito-Making Supplies
- Flour tortillas
- Refried beans
- Shredded cheese
- Salsa
- Aluminum foil (for wrapping)
🍎 Grab-and-Go Snacks
- Granola bars
- Protein bars
- Pudding cups
